Before PinClicks, Pinterest felt like a shot in the dark. Now? I’ve got data, strategy, and the traffic my online business needs.

Keyframe Kit's Pinterest account is 6 months old and I've only been creating organic Pins (no ad campaigns). I started using PinClicks 75 days ago and it's clear that it had a HUGE impact on my account. I went from struggling at around 22k impressions over 30 days, to now blowing past 154,709 impressions. And it's showing no signs of slowing down. 🤞

And the metrics that really matter to me are increasing too. Outbound clicks to my website are up 124%, Engagements up 388%, and Saves up 598%.

If you want to get these types of results for your account, you can grab PinClicks here. Currently they're offering a 5 day free trial. No credit card required to try.

Now let's dive into how I've been using PinClicks as the ultimate SEO hack.

But first... I'm a designer not an SEO expert

When I decided to start selling digital products, I knew that I was going to need to learn how to market & drive traffic to my website. I decided to start with Pinterest because of the longevity that Pins can have on the platform, sometimes driving traffic for multiple years.

I knew about search engine optimization, but it always seemed more art than science. Something that you had to have a marketers instinct & experience to really nail. 🔮

The breakthrough that changed everything

Then I watched this Youtube video by Adrianna Crawford of Work Well Remote that mentioned PinClicks. She was having a lot of success on accounts that weren't even a year old. And holy crap...

I signed up for a 5 day trial of PinClicks right away. And it took all of 1 day to realize I needed this tool. Below are my favorite features, and how I've used it to explode my impressions & clicks.

My favorite PinClicks tools

1. Keyword Explorer: See what people are searching for

Here is where you can see the search volume for every keyword. It’s like getting a peek behind the curtain of Pinterest SEO.

You’ll instantly know which terms are worth targeting. This tool has helped me stop guessing and start creating content around keywords that actually drive traffic.

Choose the right keywords

Even though Instagram reels & stories seem similar visually, I was surprised to learn that "Instagram story ideas" has almost 5M searches & "reels Instagram ideas" only has 104k a month. Even though my designs can work for both, I make sure to title them as stories now.

Create boards to target keywords

This can have a big impact on your boards strategy. I used the keywords I discovered to overhaul my board titles & descriptions. Which had an immediate impact.

This can help you strategically plan blog posts & pins to attract the most clicks. Before I create anything, I check the keywords and let them guide my focus.

Create content for trending searches

I learned that keywords for profile photos had crazy search volumes. So I created a blog post & Canva freebie to attract people to my site & email list.

Analyze top Pins for keywords

Click on any keyword to get a list of the top Pins for that keyword. You can analyze the style, search intent, & captions used. This helps narrow your focus for what to create.

Mirror your Pins to what's trending

I discovered that 111k people a month were searching for "instagram story background". The top Pins were essentially just clean backgrounds in the story size. I already had 30+ of these designs, so I made them into Pins that linked to their respective products.

2. Pin Stats: See What's Performing

Here you can look up the stats of any Pin. You’ll get insights into number of saves and tagged interests. It’s an easy way to reverse engineer successful Pins. This simple notes list had over 84k saves. 👇

Discover new keywords with Annotated Interests

You can discover the hidden tagged interests that Pinterest assigned to the Pin. These aren't visible anywhere on the platform, even if you're the Pin creator. So this tool helps you see if your intended keyword targets are being picked up by the algorithm.

Adjust your titles & descriptions

I learned that because I'm creating mockups, Pinterest can get confused by the placeholder text in the Pin. Now I'm more intentional with my copywriting!

Check multiple Pins at once

If you have a board of references you want to examine, you can use the browser extension Link Gopher to grab multiple Pin links.

I do this when trying to decide what new designs to create. I save a bunch of design references on a board, and then see how well each Pin is ranking. It tells me which designs will be more popular before I start pushing pixels.

This can also show you what titles & captions are resonating. I was making the mistake of writing product descriptions, instead of focusing on the keywords & search intent that I was trying to target.

3. Account Explorer: Learn From Competitors

The ultimate cheat code is to research what is working well in your niche for your competitors. It honestly feels illegal to do, because you're able to learn from their hard fought experience. You steal what's working, and avoid wasting time on things that aren't.

With Account Explorer you can see

  • Their top performing PINs
  • What keywords they're ranking for
  • Their monthly views & reach
  • How many pins & boards they have to achieve that result
  • How many times a day they're pinning
  • I'm able to spot which products & designs are popular

This is honestly so addictive and powerful. You need every advantage you can get as new business!

Mirror what's working for your competition

I was surprised to learn that certain creators were getting 1M+ impressions by focusing on Canva elements, with high rates of clicks & saves. It's simply pins showing you what Canva codes to search to find aesthetic illustration sets.

So I created a blog post with 20 of my favorite Canva elements. It did so well with engagements, that I expanded the post to 50.

Is PinClicks right for you?

By now it should be obvious that I am OBSESSED with this tool. My time is limited and I want to grow my business fast. Before I create anything, I let the metrics on PinClicks show me what will perform well. No guessing, just pure data science.

It should be game-changing for service providers, bloggers, content creators, online marketers, and anyone looking to increase the traffic to their website using Pinterest.
